Urge Pueblo City Councilors to Reintroduce the Federal Abortion Law Ordinance

Email City Council Now

What Is the Ordinance?

h

It would require the city of Pueblo to adhere to the Comstock Act, a federal law that prohibits the mailing and receiving of abortion-inducing drugs and paraphernalia.

h

This would ban abortion in Pueblo, shutting down the late-term clinic that opened in 2023 as a result of state law making abortion legal through all nine months of pregnancy.

h

There is a majority on city council to pass this ordinance, but they face intense opposition from opponents of the ordinance.

Email City Council

Please fill out the form below to send the following email to all members of city council urging them to reintroduce and vote FOR this ordinance.

The Email:

City Council Members,

I am writing in SUPPORT of the federal abortion law ordinance introduced on October 15. Please vote FOR this ordinance to protect the health and safety of women who are harmed by late-term abortion. The women of Pueblo deserve better. Unregulated abortion and unregulated clinics have no place in Pueblo, Home of the Heroes who fought for our lives, freedom, and safety.

Please vote FOR this ordinance to enforce federal law and protect women in Pueblo, in Colorado, and beyond.
